Partnerships with public and private sectors
  • Partnership with the company Magalu

Magalu was the first company to believe in our Institute, even when we were not yet legally incorporated with a CNPJ. First, in 2019, it made a donation that allowed the acquisition of the team’s first essential oil distiller, which allowed the distillation of various medicinal and aromatic oils from the forest, which generated health and income for hundreds of people over the years and is still available for use today, having been donated to the Campo Sagrado Center, in the Nova Empresa village, on the Jordão River.

In the following years, it provided historic assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic by donating the first digital X-ray and mechanical respirator to the municipality of Jordão, where until 2021 there were none of these devices. 10,000 personal protective masks, 2 electrocardiogram machines and stretchers for transporting patients were also donated.

It then provided substantial assistance in 2024 by donating more than 200 basic food baskets to people affected by the historic flood in the municipality of Jordão, the most severe flood in the municipality, benefiting hundreds of extremely low-income and highly vulnerable families.

  • Partnership with the company “Essential” – “Be Generous” project

“Be Generous” is a social project created by Essentia Pharma, Essential Nutrition and Noorskin based on the desire to contribute to the health and development of thousands of children. The partnership was established in 2022 to provide multivitamins and omega 3 to low-income pregnant women in the city of Jordão. More than 300 pregnant women and children have benefited. Approximately R$90,000 in donations until February 2025. The work is ongoing and satisfaction and impact surveys are frequently carried out.

Partnership with non profit organization Living Gaia

Living Gaia is a German and Brazilian organization, headquartered in Germany, that focuses on indigenous peoples, riverside communities and the preservation of the Amazon Rainforest, especially in the forests of Jordão-AC, the women of the Huni Kui People and the riverside communities living in the Upper Tarauacá River. With similar goals in many ways to those of the Flor da Floresta Institute, our institutions have already worked together to plant an agroforest in the Iracema Seringal, currently called Tarayá, part of a large preservation and reforestation project in an area of approximately 16,000 hectares in the Upper Tarauacá River.

They also work together to support the Aibu Daya indigenous women’s association, where doctors from the Flor da Floresta Institute provide educational and health care support, and both institutions assist in the development of the Aibu Daya´s House project, through support in the renovation and maintenance of the main house and the orchard of the Aibu Daya association’s main house, also assisting both institutes in holding the Huni Kui Women’s Meeting of Jordão, an annual meeting attended by women and family members from all indigenous villages in the municipality of Jordão, addressing issues of great importance to this population, such as women’s rights, violence against women, family planning, comprehensive women’s health care and the socio-economic empowerment of indigenous women.

Flor da Vida - Óleo de Cannabis

Through a partnership between the two associations, donations of cannabis oil have already been made available to dozens of patients referred by the Flor da Floresta Institute, and finally, in mid-2024, a project was formalized in which 10 extremely low-income patients who were already undergoing regular follow-up in the municipality of Jordão, with therapeutic indication and medical monitoring, were selected to receive treatment with medicinal cannabis oil for 12 months (1 year) for their health issues.

Patients receive monthly assessments, where questionnaires are applied to monitor their complaints and assess the need for dose adjustment. These are priority and low-income groups, including riverside communities, indigenous people and residents of the municipality. These patients would not have the financial means to pay for these treatments, which are expensive (average of 300 reais per month), but through this partnership it was possible to benefit these 10 patients. We hope that this is just the beginning of this partnership.

The cost of such treatments for just 10 patients for 1 year, including the purchase of the oils, membership fees, shipping and free medical care, adds up to more than R$50,000 reais.

  • Project in partnership with the Miragina brand:
Through a partnership with Miragina, a legitimate Acrean company, a project is being developed where 5 liters of cold-pressed Brazil nut oil are donated monthly to be distributed to women in labor and postpartum for massages during pregnancy and pre-delivery and for babies, in addition to hydrating and nourishing the skin of mothers and babies. The oil can also be used as a healthy supplement for low-weight children who are already taking supplementary food. A healthy oil, produced in Acre through extractivism, through a genuinely family-owned company, valuing the local economy and bringing health to people.
